ONE WEEK til we open The Shape of Things! We are getting all of our last minute gear ready, running the show, tweaking the bits (oh la la!) and getting it ready to share with you! We’re having fun, working our butts off and it has really shaped into a fantastic show to say the least. Andy Pyne (Props Master on CBC’s television show Republic of Doyle) has offered his props skills and also his film experience to create a film section for TSOT. Preview is coming soon!
There’s an exciting exhibition opening tonight at Ontop/Above (our show’s soon-to-be venue) and all of the artwork will become part of our show’s set as we share the space! The exhibition is titled “More Than a Feeling” and features new work from Knoah Bender, Danny Woodrow, Lisa Wilson and Michael Young. You may know some of these people (Michael’s work has been shown in The Rooms art gallery), but either way, come down tonight to meet them in person. I guarantee you’ll want to after you see their art at O/A, and we are honoured to share our work along side of theirs. We sneaked in earlier and took a peak, but we are heading back later tonight to hear live music from Pap Pap and Run to the Rocks. You should go, too! Our friend Sarah from The Scope wrote a great piece on O/A that you can read here, and she also gave a kind shout out to EP!
Enjoy your St. Patrick’s weekend, and we hope to see you all at our show next weekend! Have fun!
